Chapter 19 Summary

They order Chinese and Cary joins them in the living room. Eva notes how well Cary and Gideon get along. The same blonde model from the other night shows up, and she and Cary go back to his bedroom. Gideon unpacks his toiletries and items while he and Eva get ready for bed. She asks about his sex life in college, and he assures her that the only place he ever had consensual sex was in the hotel room.

That night, they make compassionate love and fall asleep. In the middle of the night, Eva thinks she's being attacked by Nathan again. Then, she realizes it is Gideon. Cary rushes into the room and pushes Gideon so hard that he breaks the drywall on impact. Eva tells Cary that Gideon is dreaming.
