Summary
In "Crossings," Woon is an adult with a wife and twin daughters. He works at an archival unit that he has been with for the past decade. There he scans and reverse-ages relics from Old Krungthep, the sunken city of Bangkok. At work, he accidentally breaks an old urn. While he panics about his rare mistake, his supervisor assures him by telling him that such damages occur frequently. Woon leaves early as he has an appointment.
Woon's appointment is with Mai, and they meet at what seems to be the building that he used to live in as a youth. In reality, the building is a projection as it has long since succumbed to floods. Woon has plugged into a virtual reality portal allowing himself to connect with Mai remotely.
