Salcombe
Salcombe is the name of the fictional village on Fire Island where this novel is set. The majority of the action in the novel takes place in Salcombe with the exception of Rachel and Robert’s trip to the neighboring village of Kismet where they meet in a bar. Salcombe is a summer town where rich people come to vacation.
Robert’s Little Hut
