Eve
Eve is the first woman that God created. When God saw that Adam needed a companion, he took a rib from Adam and created a woman. Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, peacefully with the animals and being able to talk to God. Higgs suggests that Eve had to be beautiful since she wouldn't have had blemishes or scars. She was also sinless when she was created, so her personality would have been the best possible.
A serpent came to Eve and talked with her about the trees in the garden. Eve told him that they were not to eat from the fruit that came from the tree at the center of the garden. The serpent tells Eve that she will have greater knowledge if she eats the fruit. Although the serpent had planted the seed, Eve could have resisted the temptation at several points...
