Joey
Joey is the protagonist of "Daisy's Valentine," and a self-destructive individual who is attracted to Daisy because she has the capacity to upend his life. For eight years, Joey has been in a relationship with Diane, and is hesitant to end their relationship only because of the stability of routine they have. He is a habitual drug user who has no over ambitions in life, and is more concerned with talking about himself and his own importance rather than attempting to connect with people emotionally. Joey is attracted to Daisy because he finds her pathetic and wishes to take care of her, but once with her, he prefers using her as an emotional outlet rather than engaging with her. His self-centered nature gradually becomes apparent, as Daisy herself confronts him about his tendency to talk only about himself. He acknowledges this habit but is not perturbed by it...
