Chapters 28-30 Summary

Myron thinks he sees what happened. Esme Fong is in charge of Zoom's deal with Tad Cripsin. She seduced Tad, and then because Jack started winning, she kidnapped Chad to throw Jack off his game. When he continued to perform well, Tito cut off Chad's finger, possibly without Esme knowing. Then, Jack pulled off the final put for a tie. Not wanting to take the chance that Jack would win the next round, Esme killed him and then let Chad go. Myron is heading off to confront Esme when he hears an icy voice call his name.

Myron is confronted by Win's mother, Cissy Lockwood. She knows about Myron because she has private investigators keep track of her son. She tells Myron that, when Win was young, Jack Coldren took him golfing, but somehow the golf lesson never happened. Win returned...
