Chapters 13-15 Summary
Myron goes to the gate of Matthew Squires' house and asks to see him. The disembodied voice on the intercom asks if he has an appointment and refuses to let him in. The speaker won't even identify himself. Myron phones Sheriff Jack Courter, sheriff of Reston, New Jersey, to ask about the Squires family. Jack tells him that Reginald Squires, known as "Big Blue" is a criminal, possibly involved in drugs and prostitution. Jack doesn't know if Squires was ever involved in kidnapping, but he might be. After he hangs up, Myron wonders why Chad was using the ATM and decides to visit the Court Manor Inn again.
To get information out of the uncooperative manager of the Court Manor Inn, Myron stands outside of the motel with a camera, taking pictures of everyone who heads toward the motel. Stuart Lipwitz...
