Anthony leads the friends to the memorial of WIlliam Jones where he inputs a code to reveal a secret tunnel. He explains that Hermes knows about the war but is thrilled to learn that Robin took the proof of collusion and war plans. He promises he will take care of retrieving them and says they are safe now. Letty asks why Anthony joined Hermes despite his privilege at Babel. He explains that, on the night before the abolition, his abolitionist master decided they would move to America so he would not have to set Anthony free.
