Part V, P. 229 to P. 318 Summary
Tlatli and Chimáli come to Texcóco and arrive at the studios of Lady Jadestone Doll. Soon, Mixtli begins his revenge on Pactli, by drawing a picture of Pactli, making him look very handsome, and presenting it to the Lady. A note is written by Mixtli and given to a boatman along with the Lady's ring, to summon Pactli as the Lady's next lover. Mixtli makes his former friends believe that the Lady will not be discovered immediately and that they have time to flee. Instead of Pactli, the old little cocoa-colored man comes up to Lady Jadestone Doll's apartment.
There is a public trial attended by the ruler Nezahualpíli and many other nobles. Pactli and Lady Jadestone Doll are swiftly doomed by their testimony, but Mixtli and Cozcatl are exiled. Mixtli decides...
