Part III, P. 87 to P. 135 Summary
Mixtli has problems with his vision by now and is called Mole. Mixtli, despite his poor vision, is encouraged by his teacher Blood Glutton, to be courageous and learn to use the native sword, edged with sharp obsidian rocks. The young men with Mixtli, along with the young noble Pactli, find a female slave to give them all sex. Mixtli makes excuses for why he does not want this woman. At this point, the noble Pactli confesses his plan to marry Mixtli's sister Tzitzilíni. Then Mixtli's family will become nobles. Mixtli's friends, Chimáli and Tlatli both receive scholarships to study art. Mixtli is still trying to learn picture-writing.
Mixtli is invited to go to the court of Texcóco to be educated and assist the ruler there. Mixtli accepts, though he is sad...
