Summary
As Act Four, Scene One begins Vic, Harry, Jim, and Gwen sit together on the beach. Vic speaks at length about the beaches in the area, and how many interesting things there are to see, including a cave painting that she has been told is thousands of years old. The conversation reveals that Jim and Gwen found their way there virtually by accident, with Jim speaking at length about how, after losing much of their gear in the storm, they first found took refuge in a mostly unpleasant motel and then were on their way home when “the girl” (i.e. Meg) saw a dirt road and insisted they travel down it. Further conversation reveals that they have arrived just in time for the campground’s amateur night, in which campers perform for each other.
