Summary
Act Two, Scene One is set in the home of Harry, Vic, and Tom. Harry and Tom discuss their upcoming trip. Harry urges Tom to make sure that Vic believes he is having a good time, even if he is not. Tom assures him he will not have to pretend, and that he has been looking forward to the trip almost as much as Vic has. He references “the day in the hospital and [Harry] brought in the tent and put it up in the ward” (14) as the point at which he started to be excited about going away. Harry reminds him how hard a time the last year has been, particularly on Vic.
