Summary
As Act One Scene Two continues, Harry and Vic appear, offering effusive compliments to Tom, with Harry referring to him as “a real Laurence Olivier” (9). Vic offers congratulations to Roy, while the conversation between Harry and Tom reveals that Harry and Vic are Tom’s parents. Vic also compliments Meg. The conversation then turns to travel plans, with Harry revealing his family’s plan to camp in a tent. Gwen comments that she and her family are going in their new caravan. Roy comments that he and Coral are flying to the Gold Coast. The conversation also reveals that Harry, Vic, and their family have not been in Australia long. Roy wishes everyone a good holiday, and comments that this is the last year for Tom and Meg. He and Coral then go out.
