Summary

In Chapter 15, Aviva goes to the party with her mother, and they have a wonderful time even though Ema is a bit nervous at first. Everyone dances and has so much fun. When they get home, though, Aviva and Ema see police sirens. When they get closer, they find Mrs. Leibowitz on a stretcher.

In Chapter 16, Mrs. Leibowitz tells Aviva that a bookcase fell on her inside the shul. Aviva suspects the dybbuk did it because he is angry. Aviva goes into the shul and offers to help clean up. She goes down into the genizah and searches for the dybbuk, When she finds him, she tries to perform the Kaddish prayer to get rid of him, but he attacks her. She runs away and he chases her. He corners her near the door to the mikvah, but then the door bursts open...
