Summary

In Chapter 11, Kyoshi runs to the Chancellor’s body. He is covered in wounds. Atuat tries to save him, but she says he is already gone. Atuat then tends to the other victims, lowering their body temperature. Kyoshi asks her to teach her this technique. Kyoshi walks into the Fire Lord’s room and reports what happened. Kyoshi and Chaejin have a conversation as she leaves, and he tells her to be careful while he eyes the throne.

Chapter 12 begins with Kyoshi, Hei-Ran and Rangi eating breakfast. They discuss Yun and theorize that a spirit called Father Glowworm has possessed him. Hei-Ran tells Kyoshi to ask the previous Avatar about him, but Kyoshi explains that she cannot communicate properly with him. Hei-Ran has a plan to meet with an old friend of Avatar Kuruk.
