Summary

Kyoshi enters back into the mansion only to be chastised by Auntie Mui, the head of the kitchen, for carrying food near the guests staying at the house and for being outside too much. Auntie Mui tells Kyoshi her skin and freckles are too dark. In the kitchen, Kyoshi is surprised to find Kelsang with the other cooks. Kelsang explains that he is staying away from the Avatar so he will not try airbending before he masters firebending. Kyoshi briefly reflects on how Kelsang took her in and practically raised her like his own child. At the same time, Kyoshi also reflects on the rumors of the growing rift between Jianzhu and Kelsang. Apparently, Jianzhu has amassed a large amount of wealth and political influence, much to Kelsang’s worry and disapproval.
