The Author’s Home

The house where the author lives with his family is both a source of, and trigger for, thoughts and insights that make up the content of the various essays in the collection. Some of the home-defined triggers for the author's contemplations are more directly identified than others: "Wasps," for example, was written in response to the author's encounters with wasps in the walls of his home, while essays like "Toilet Bowls" can be seen as having their origins in experiences that are likely connected to those that take place in the author's home, without being directly identified as such.
