Control has an existential moment when he helps a business woman remove an ant from the back of her neck. Afterwards, when he releases the ant back into the grass beside the parking lot, he pauses to wonder if, where Area X is concerned, he is the woman, with no idea where the ant is, or is he the ant who is unaware that it is on the woman's neck?

He doesn't get the answer to his question, so he goes to his office and spends the first part of his morning looking for the key to unlock the smelly desk drawer. Finally he finds it, and sits there before opening it, observing the stain on the bottom left corner of the outside of it. He opens the drawer to find a plant growing there. It is unlike anything he's ever seen...
