Chapters 19 and 20 Summary
In chapter nineteen, Tsion announces in one of his sermons that he won't be attending the gala. He reminds believers that the event will be the mid-point of the Tribulation, ushering in the second half which is called the Great Tribulation. Rayford says that he feels responsible for Hattie and knows that she's being held in prison without knowing that her sister Nancy has died. Rayford talks with T upon his return to Illinois and learns that Bo Hanson committed suicide. Rayford is "inconsolable" and feels a great weight. He continues to weigh the idea of being in position to kill Carpathia during the gala.
