Summary

In Chapter 12, Anne Stanhope gets a new doctor, Dr. Abbasi, and he helps her get released to a halfway house in Saratoga County. Anne had not been brave enough to see Peter the day he showed up to visit her, but she still feels connected to him and was convinced she knew he was in the hospital before the nurses even told her. She saw lights over a nurse's head and started swatting at them after she refused to see Peter and this caused the nurse to say Anne had attacked her. After Anne moves into the halfway house, she gets a job at an assisted living home. She checks the bank account Brian left for her and finds $5,031. She uses most of the money to buy a new car.
