Tull - Chapter 31 Summary
After seeing the wagon pass by his lot, Tull follows the Bundrens until they arrive at the washed out bridge. Riding up next to the wagon, Tull sees Anse staring blankly at the place where the bridge used to be. Though the two ends of the bridge are still visible, the middle has fallen into the river and logs and debris float by and over the bridge on the fast, dangerous current. Anse merely mutters about how easy it would be to cross the river if the bridge was still up, while the rest of the Bundrens try to figure out how to cross safely.
