Darl - Chapter 5 Summary

Darl and Jewel are trying to leave in order to do some work that will pay them money. However, their father -- Anse Bundren -- does not tell them to either stay or go but keeps dawdling in his decision. It is unclear why they are asking their father's opinion on the matter, because they seem to be old enough to make their own decisions. While Jewel listens to Anse waffle, he finally makes the decision that he and Darl will leave to do the job.
