Summary

In Chapter 17, Lila knows she is going to have to solve this case to save her family. She and Adeena discuss the drugs. Lila again mentions Ronnie, this time saying he is Rosie's son who stole a lot of things to support his drug habit. Lila cites this as a reason she “would not be stupid enough to waste my time and money” on drugs (97). Adeena inexplicably becomes angry, but quickly calms down and promises they will talk later.
