Summary

In Chapter 11, Lila goes for a run with Nisa, but the dog refuses to finish the run. Lila has to carry her back. Lila stops at Java Jo's for coffee. She notes that Tita Rosie's Kitchen has not been updated for decades while Java Jo's has a modern appearance with a lot of stainless. Kevin serves only dry, commercial pastries except on Sundays when he allows Lila and Adeena to run specials with Lila's creations. Adeena enjoys experimenting with drinks.
