Chapter Ten Summary
Talia learns that Hulda vanished from the Kingdom before the Heralds had a chance to question her. She learns also that Hulda's immigration records are missing from the palace files. The Queen and Talia know this will not be the end of the threats from outside the Kingdom.
The Queen asks Talia to take Talamir's place at Council, so she can learn about the court dynamics and what will be expected of her when she achieves Herald status and takes her full place as a Queen's Own. Talia agrees, with the condition that Elspeth gets to attend with her so that the child can begin training to be the Queen.
