Belief in Jesus and the Second Coming

The belief that they are living in the end times and that Jesus will soon return is the basis for almost all the action of Chloe, Buck, Rayford, and others living in the Christian community. They have all refused to submit to the Mark of the Beast required by Nicolae Carpathis though it means they could be put to death. They believe accepting the mark will damn them to Hell. With the knowledge that Jesus will return in short order to cast non-believers into Hell, Tsion and the other Christians are frantically trying to bring people to Christ. They all know time is running out and that for many, it is already too late to accept.
