Chapter 18 -Wind And Water-

Kaspar drives Alex to a building that looks an awful lot like a prison. He takes him inside and locks him in a cage near the ape and Tamara. Kaspar tells them that the rocket will launch in the morning, and then they will be killed afterward. After Kaspar leaves, Tamara gives Alex her shoelace, which contains a tungsten wire with diamond edges. Alex cuts through the bars, then races off to find a boat to get to the CIA on Barbados. He does find a boat, but there is no key. He does not have time to swim or paddle a canoe, so he goes to the shed where the kites are kept and prepares to kite surf the ten miles to Barbados.
