Summary
Chapter 33 describes how, during the 1980s war with Lebanon, Israeli soldiers were asked to pose for group pictures with a bit of space between in each the photo, so that they would be easily identified if they were to die and their pictures needed to be printed in Israeli newspapers.
In Chapters 34 through 37, the narration then takes the form of rapid-fire descriptions, each of a different subject; the methods used to tag a bird, media editors’ and producers’ preference to avoid intersecting lines, the process of removing a bird from a hanging mist net, and more on the origins of rubber bullets.
