Summary
In Chapter 79, B. assimilates into the civilization that Slammy’s has established. One day, he thinks about ants, whose instincts are all communal. He contrasts this fact with humans, who can be antagonistic towards each other even within communities. B. suddenly recalls the end of Ingo’s film, although he cannot recall the parts leading up to it.
Chapter 80 describes the end of Ingo’s film. It takes place one million years in the future and follows an ant named Calcium. Calcium is intelligent, and when other ants begin to contract a deadly illness, Calcium tries to invent a cure. However, the mixture of the disease and the cure turns the ants into zombies.
