In “A Family Outing, Alternative Ending 1,” Rajiv imagines his time in New York differently. He imagines Clarice calling Pua and telling her she saw Rajiv bring a lover home. He imagines the family interrogating Jake about Rajiv’s sexuality, and Jake calling him an antiman. He imagines Auntie Sonia telling everyone not to “worry about it” (141). However, the rest of the family “hemmed and hawed” (143).
