Perspective
"Annie's Baby, The Diary of Anonymous, A Pregnant Teenager," is an epistolary, written in a diary structure. It is written in the first-person point of view but not as a regular narration. It's a voyeuristic experience for the reader to peek into the heartfelt emotions that the young girl reveals only to her diary. Annie uses her diary to pour her heart out over the terrible mess that her life had become. The story is very organized because of the format which consists of dated and timed entries and tells Annie's story in a logical and chronological order.
The book is apparently written by "Anonymous" and edited by Beatrice Sparks, PhD. Near the end of the book, Annie visits "Dr. B." who is a counselor and who is apparently Dr. Sparks.
