December 23, Saturday, 11:21 pm: Annie writes that Danny is hurting her lately when they has sex. Her friend, Liz, tells her rough sex is a guy thing. December 24, Sunday, 3:30 pm: It is Christmas Eve and Annie's mother go to church. Annie says she doesn't feel good and stayed home. Annie wonders if she is committing adultery. 7:30 pm: Danny comes to the apartment. He introduces himself to Annie's mother who invited him in. He has come to drop off a present but tells Annie not to open it until Christmas.

December 25, Monday, 2:13 am: Annie is awake wondering what is in the big present Danny brought. 10:21 am: Annie ripped the wrapping off and finds a series of boxes within boxes. When she finally gets to the last box, she finds a bracelet that is inscribed with the words, "Hi, Friend."
