Part Three: The Eighties, January 1987, Audrey, and February 1987, Slip Summary
Audrey senses Faith needs her so she flies to New Orleans where Faith has gone to visit Beau. Audrey invites herself to dinner and learns Beau is planning to introduce his mother to Shelby, whom his mother assumes is his girlfriend. However, Beau has not told his mother he is gay and Shelby is a man. Audrey figures this out and offers support. When Beau does tell Faith, she immediately leaves the restaurant and returns to the hotel. Audrey goes to counsel her and the whole group ends up at a diner to discuss the issue. Faith listens to Beau tell her how he hated living a lie and she relates to his story in a way no one else understands.
