Audrey, who is now divorced, is spending her birthday alone because the boys are with their father and his new wife. Audrey is so depressed she decides to go to the movies. Audrey runs into her neighbors, Grant and Stuart, and decides to have a few drinks with them. The men see Audrey is upset so they take her for a drive. Audrey breaks down and tells them about an argument she had with Slip that has left her desperate to make up. This fight was about Flannery telling stories about Audrey's oldest son, Dave.
