Prologue. Scarlet Jacobs wakes in the woods, naked, with no memory except for her name.

Chapter 1

Scarlet Jacobs is attending the Kissing Festival in downtown Avalon, Georgia, with her best friend, Heather. It has been two years since Scarlet woke up with amnesia, and she still has no memories of her past. A local woman named Laura Walker has taken Scarlet into her home. She treats Scarlet more like a little sister than a child. Scarlet feels lucky to have the life she does even though she still wonders where her family is and why they are not searching for her.

Scarlet catches sight of a young man about her age watching her. Scarlet feels a sense of familiarity for this person, but she cannot get close enough to see his face. Then Scarlet hears a voice that is even more...
