The Acceptance of Personal Responsibility
The ability to take responsibility for one’s own actions is an ability often missing in today’s culture. This novel includes the stories of three characters who took personal responsibility for situations in which they were only a factor. While taking personal responsibility for a tragedy can cause a great deal of guilt, the lessons learned from these experiences can also help a person to improve himself. In this novel, Jessica, Ethan and Don are all characters who chose to grow from their own experiences with tragedy.
