Summary

In Chapter 27, Zoe attends Alex’ showing at the Medusa because she receives a personal invitation. It is the first time she has heard from either Alex or Ethan since she had been in Washington. She is pleased when she sees Alex has finally made a name for himself in the art business but wonders why she never saw his potential. Although a movie star she recognizes approaches Zoe, she seeks out Ethan in the crowd. Ethan tells her he is glad she came and admits he is the one who included her in Alex’s invitation list. Zoe notices how rough Ethan looks as she tells him that she has returned from Washington. When the crowd begins to push them too tightly, Ethan suggests they go somewhere else.
