Pages 131-152 Summary
While smoking a cigarette outside of the studio, Dawn Devonport confesses to Alexander that her father died recently. Dawn tells him that Toby sends Billie to visit the actors because she has a way of pulling scandalous or tragic information out of them that Toby can use while filing, if necessary.
Alexander thinks of a dream he had. He's packing when he notices what appears to be a stranded crocodile on the banks of the river. When he goes down to help the animal, it turns into a woman. He thinks the woman represents Cora, which is the wife of Axel Vander. She is a troubled woman that people think Axel killed as a mercy killing.
