Pages 87-102 Summary
Billie Stryker arrives to speak with Alexander. She is the person Marcy said the studio was sending. Billie spends time in the kitchen with Lydia drinking tea and eating biccies before Lydia escorts her up to Alexander's attic office. After talking with Billie, Alexander realizes she is a researcher, and that she's researching him, but he doesn't know how this relates to his performance in the film. He also thinks about hiring her to find Mrs. Gray for him.
When Billie announces her departure, Alexander starts talking about Cass. He doesn't even talk to Lydia about Cass, so this takes Alexander by surprise. Billie listens until he is finished and then she leaves. She tells him on her way out when the first reading of the script is and who will be attending.
