Summary

In Chapter 31, Jess recounts her experiences as she goes on Friday to the makeup sessions that she scheduled for Shields’s experiment. Jess thinks it is strange that Shields wants to use Jess’ phone to listen in on the appointments. The first appointment goes without any problems. The woman, named Reyna, tips Jess $40.

Jess’ next appointment does not go as well. Tiffani’s boyfriend is suspicious of Jess and how Tiffani won the makeup session. When Jess sees how dilated his pupils are she realizes he is on drugs. She glances at her phone as Ricky makes her more and more nervous. Jess and Tiffani both scream as Ricky lunges for Jess’ phone. He asks if Jess is a narc.
