Summary
Danny wonders if he might be praised and given preferential treatment for reporting Prakash, despite his illegal status. Danny soon concludes that he would likely not be treated better, even if he did help catch a murderer. Danny then thinks about how he had even suspected that Prakash might harm Radha someday. Next, Danny thinks about some of the open racism that he and Prakash have witnessed in Australia. Danny used to believe (and perhaps still believes) that Australia’s commitment to law and order was what helped the country prosper. However, Danny’s legal predicament is a product of Australia’s laws. Danny then thinks again about the times that he spent with Radha and Prakash.
