Summary
In Chapter 6, at the Peixota home, Kezia comments to Pablo that she thinks Seraphine may be developing romantic feelings for Alamaya. Peixota meets with Alamaya, and Peixota says that he is in favor of Dorsey Flagg accompanying, despite the objections that Newton Castle raised. Alamaya says that Maxim Tasan also opposes Flagg, but Peixota says that the White Friends of Ethiopia have no influence over the hands to Ethiopia. Alamaya realizes that Tasan is a communist, but he does not inform Peixota of this. Alamaya then attends a meeting with Maxim Tasan, who requested to meet with him. Tasan attempts to form an alliance between the White Friends of Ethiopia and the hands to Ethiopia, but Peixota declines. The narration then directly sates to the reader that Tasan is a communist and supporter of the Soviet Union who wishes to convert the residents...
