Summary
Paz tells Hero that Pol wanted to practice medicine again, and that if he had stayed in America he would have had to rebuild his career as a first-year intern. Paz tells Hero that Roni will visit sometime, maybe for Christmas. But Hero insists that Paz has rights as a mother. Meanwhile, Rosalyn quits her job at Mai’s salon to help Lola Adela at the restaurant now that Lolo Boy is gone. Hero is miserable without Roni and tries compensating by working hard at the restaurant, but Rosalyn is worried about her. After a heated confrontation, Hero opens up to Rosalyn with more details about her past: she joined the NPA in March 1976 at 20 years old, that Teresa was the kumander with Edie as second-in-command, that she had feelings for Teresa, and that they recruited college students like her...
