Summary

In Chapter 11, Fozia Auntie visits Mehnaz and offers to pick up medicine for the baby during her trip to the market. When Fozia fails to mention Amal’s incident from the previous day, Amal feels relieved, assuming she overexaggerated. Amal vows to follow the rules and never leave the house without at least one of her sisters ever again. Just as Amal settles down to read a story with Rabia after a hard day’s work, Seema approaches them in a panic. She explains that all their neighbors are discussing Amal’s misconduct in the market. Malik enters the house, shocked that his daughter publicly disrespected Jawad Sahib. He explains that Jawad has requested to speak with him and will likely punish Amal and their entire family.
