MckKenzie Little-Armstrong
MacKenzie Little-Armstrong is the book's lead character. Nicknamed Mac, she is the daughter of Adrienne, the biggest talent agent in Hollywood, and has grown up in a world of wealth and privilege. Although the author intends to portray her as a character to be liked and admired by readers, she is superficial and shallow, caring mostly for designer clothing and other material trappings as well as holding a position of envy by her friends and fellow students at exclusive Bel-Air Middle School.
Mac is the leader of the Inner Circle, a group of girls who relish being the center of attention among their acquaintances. She dictates what they wear, how they behave, what they eat and even how they walk on campus, affecting a pose she has christened Le Strut, with which they try to appear bored and above everyone else.
