Chapters 31 and 32 Summary
In Chapter 31, Mac is feeling dejected so she goes to talk to her mother, who surprises her by saying she is proud of her. Adrienne says that Emily did a great job in the play and she suspects that she would have quit if Mac had not encouraged her to see it through, and Mac realizes that it is true. Adrienne tells Mac that she needs to look outside the BAMS environment for success, and Mac realizes that her mother is right, so she decides to go after her original goal of Hollywood domination.
In the book's final chapter, Emily, Coco and Becks are back at school, but Mac has not been seen all day. They are eating lunch, with Emily dreading telling her friends that she has decided to return to Iowa, when Mac appears and whisks them off to...
