Beatrice 'Tris' Prior
Tris is one of the main characters (protagonist) in the Divergent Series. She has a very low self-esteem which most likely stems from her upbringing in the Abnegation sector of this world. In this installment of the series, Tris is faced with one last revolution against the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. She and Tobias, her boyfriend, share the narrative role. In this novel, Tris has come into her own, and while still suffering from self-doubt, also is much calmer, levelheaded, and decisive in her decisions.
Tris receives a tablet resembling an iPad from Zoe that contains data about Tris’s mother, and through this tablet, she finds out things that her mother and she has in common. For instance, she learns that both of them had elected to be in Dauntless, that they are both stubborn, that they both fall in love and will make decisions...
