Summary
In Chapter 22, set now, Quinn is still sitting in her car. She understands that Graham hurt her because she has been hurting him. It does not make her hurt less to understand his reasoning.
Quinn remembers writing a report in college about a couple who had been married for sixty years. They said the secret to their longevity was that they never gave up at the same time. Quinn feels as if she and Graham have finally given up at the same time.
