Summary
Chung learns more about Cindy’s childhood. When Cindy was a baby, she stayed behind with her maternal grandmother in Seoul before being reunited with her parents. Cindy was an easy target for her mother’s frustration and rage - although Jessica also faced their mothers' tantrums, she was much older and could defend herself or find means of escape. Cindy didn’t realize until much later that her experiences were not normal. Cindy flips through an old photo album with Chung, and Chung learns that Cindy’s parents spent most of their time working and did not have a lot of time to spend together with their children. Cindy, Chung, Rick and Dan proceed to visit the Museum of Life and Science together. They go home to Rick’s cooking and Chung considers whether to confront Cindy about her father. She has...
