Summary
In Chapter 30, Kyle does not want to talk about the situation with Kimberly, but she insists. Kimberly becomes angry, and Kyle compares that to the fact he and Marley never fought. He realizes he has been patching their relationship and becomes determined to address it directly this time. He points out they broke up on the night of the accident and Kim, hurt, leaves. Kyle realizes he has had a year to heal and build a new life while Kimberly has not. He feels this world cannot be whole without Marley. He begins physical therapy and is amazed at how painful and slow the process is. Dr. Benefield calls for a psychiatrist, Dr. Ronson, to help him work through his current situation.
